Evidence stage

Build the next result

Desk research can reveal a trail, but it cannot prove that a specific person will act. This module tests the problem and the smallest honest offer before development consumes more time or money.

Your result for this module

A validation record containing five interviews or observations, one honest offer test, a threshold, and a continue/change/stop decision.

Continuous case study

Worked example: Seven-day validation test

The freelancer tracker team interviews five qualified freelancers, asks about the last missed follow-up, offers a manual weekly follow-up review, and predeclares: continue only if at least three describe the problem and two accept the next step.

Do the work

  1. Define the testable offer

Name the audience, recurring problem, smallest result, delivery method, price or commitment, and what does not yet exist.

  2. Interview recent behavior

Ask about the last occurrence, current workaround, frequency, cost, and attempted solutions. Avoid asking whether the idea sounds good.

  3. Run one honest smoke or concierge test

Offer a manual or limited version transparently. Do not imply unfinished software is available.

  4. Apply the threshold

Compare results with the predeclared continue, change, and stop conditions. Record the decision even when it is disappointing.

Quality gate

Check the result before the quiz

  • Evidence comes from the intended audience.
  • Questions focus on past behavior.
  • The offer’s stage is disclosed.
  • The decision follows the written threshold.

How this moves the project forward

Module 5 uses the validated job and data boundary to choose a suitable AI approach.

Evidence checkpoint and lesson summary

Confirm the artifact, then answer the key questions

The questions cover a core idea, a realistic decision, and evidence from the lesson. Incorrect answers identify concepts to review; they are not a complete measure of your experience or ability.

Artifact checkpoint

This is an honest self-check. Do not enter private data here; keep the artifact in your own approved workspace.

1. Which evidence most strongly supports continuing?
2. Why set a threshold before running the test?
3. Which validation record supports a responsible decision?

Confirm the artifact and answer all three questions correctly to unlock the recommended next step.
